The Renewable Energies Chair - University of Évora (CER-UÉ) starts the “Mais Fotovoltaico, Mais Energia” campaign [“More Photovoltaic, More Energy” campaign] of inspection of photovoltaic systems in Portugal, on June 24.
The Renewable Energies Chair - University of Évora (CER-UÉ) is the only Portuguese entity to be part of the SolAqua project consortium (Accessible, reliable and affordable solar irrigation for Europe and beyond), focused on high-power photovoltaic irrigation with support from the Horizon 2020 programme. Solar irrigation will allow the supply of energy for irrigation with zero emissions and a cost up to 70% lower than existing fossil fuel-based solutions.
The Renewable Energies Chair of University of Évora (CER-UÉ) researcher, Maria Helena Novais, and Professor Manuela Morais, from the Department of Biology (UÉ) - Institute of Earth Sciences (ICT), are guest editors of a Special Issue of the Journal Water, dedicated to the "Inland Aquatic Ecosystems and Conservation".
The first newsletter of the POCITYF project is out. POCITYF – A POsitive Energy CITY Transformation Framework is a smart-cities project, with EU funding, through the Horizon 2020 program (grant nr. 864400), which started seven months ago, with 46 partners from 13 countries gathered in Évora to kick-off the project.

The SFERA-III 2nd Training Course for Industries with the topic of optimization of concentrated solar thermal Plant, scheduled for the end of March, in Tabernas (Spain), has been postponed to a new date still to be determined, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
