Iberian Studies Chair

The Chair of Iberian Studies at the University of Évora was born with the aim of developing scientific knowledge about the relationships between the different cultures of the Iberian peninsula.

Being the only chair with these characteristics in the peninsular space, it has a research component and another for the promotion and dissemination of knowledge, through the organization of congresses, colloquia, days, research teams, publications, among others.

Headquartered at the University of Évora, the Chair of Iberian Studies was born with a strong vocation for networking, creating the basis for the representation of all linguistic and cultural spheres of the peninsula.

The Chair has the economic support of the Junta de Extremadura, El Corte Inglês and the Alentejo Region Coordination and Development Commission.
