Project Network of Leading European AQUAtic MesoCOSM Facilities Connecting Mountains to Oceans from the Artic to the Mediterranean (AQUACOSM)

Scientific Area: Aquatic Ecology, Biology, Biogeography

Required background and skills: Master in Biology or related area.

·         Experience with identification and quantification of freshwater macroinvertebrates, particularly, insect larvae, crustaceans and molluscs.

·         Experience with field surveys of aquatic systems, particularly in freshwater ponds, small lakes, rivers and/or experimental mesocosms.

·         Basic experience with the collection of environmental variables (e.g. temperature, dissolved oxygen, etc.).

·         Basic experience with the storage and preparation of samples for molecular analyses.

·         Basic knowledge of data storage, handling and analysis (e.g. Excel, R, etc.)

·         Driving license
