VISTA LAB - Video, Image, Speech and Text Analysis Laboratory
VISTA Lab (Video, Image, Speech and Text Analysis Lab) is the research unit from the ALGORITMI research center at University of Évora.
It aims to cultivate a dynamic academic environment dedicated to advancing knowledge and expertise in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing and the broad area of Artificial Intelligence.
Its mission is to carry out theoretical and applied research and collaborate with the scientific community and society in solving real challenges using intelligent and innovative technologies.
By promoting collaboration, diversity, and ethical considerations, its vision is to empower students and researchers to reach advanced scientific outcomes and drive positive societal impact through advanced technologies and informed decision-making.
VISTA Lab research and development covers the wide area of computational intelligent systems, including:
- Computer Vision (video and image analysis),
- Natural Language Processing and Understanding (speech and text analysis),
- Signal Processing,
- Multimodal Data Mining, and
- Applied Artificial Intelligence
